How To Create A Folder Without Any Name (Blank Space) In Windows 7,8 and XP

In this small tutorial i will show you a smilpe windows trick. Basically you can not make folder with no name on windows. This trick will allow you to make folder without any name. This trick works on any windows  operating system.

Before attempting this trick, try to make a folder with no name and you will fail to do so. This is what this trick will let you do.

Article will show you how to create a file/folder having blank space as a name. It means folder has no name. The process works on all Windows (Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows RT) PC.


Step 1. Creating new Folder: Create a new folder in your specified directory.

Step 2. Name your folder: Press rename and instead of the file press ALT+0160 (Remember to keep the ALT button pressed down while typing the numbers). ALT+0160 makes a space that is not the same as a normal space.

Step 3. Final Step: After that leave alt key and Press enter and the nameless file or folder will be created

Done you just created nameless folder.


Make sure the Num Lock on the laptop is off.and, make sure to press the numbers from the numpad and not from the numbers below the F1 – F12 keys. And take note that you only can create one folder without name in a directory.

Customize the folder if you want to. Right Click the New Folder, go to Properties, then to Customize, and then click Change Icon. Here is the trick, go to the middle and you should see some blank spaces. Those are transparent icons, select one of those then press OK -> Apply -> OK

woohoo you just created hidden folder/file.
